Grand Champion
Steve Marcio will perform
for 30 minutes during our Showcase Round on Saturday, April 19th.
Steve Marcio resides in Bethel, MN,
with his wife Carol, and his three children, Tyler, Cassie, and Tommy.
Steve placed
1st in the “Contest of the Kings” at the Mall of America in
2007. He was the winner of the 2005 “You be the Judge” Elvis
contest at the Paramount Theater in Austin, MN. Steve will be featured
on a segment of the “Out and About” show on channel 4 in February. Last
March, Steve won 1st place in the “Ultimate Elvis Contest” at
the Owens Theater in Branson, MO. Steve and Tommy just returned from
performing on a Royal Caribbean cruise.. They have been asked to
cruise again next November. Steve has been told from people on several
occasions that if they close their eyes they would think that Elvis himself
was singing to them.
Steve is a family
man, and his family participates in his shows, by running sound, lights,
and promotion. His son, Tommy, also performs in many shows as the
young Elvis. In 2006, during a family vacation to Graceland, Steve
and Tommy recorded a CD at Sun Studio in Memphis.
Steve has always
admired and respected Elvis’ music, and shows this in his tribute
to Elvis called “The Elvis Experience.

Todd Anderson, our MC is also
the executive producer of the Contest of Kings - Mall of America.
Todd performs in the Twin Cities and throughout the Midwest. Todd
is also featured on the "Memories of the King Cruise" with
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Todd will be performing some of his
favorite songs throughout the event. Enjoy!

Art Kistler is the Judge-in-Chief
Art is a long term student of all that is Elvis and brings a valuable combination of personal knowledge and experience. As a participant in numerous Elvis competitions and events, Art knows what it's like to win - and knows what it's like to lose. Since having developed a unique understanding as to the ways different contests tend to be administered, Art has become an extremely reliable and objective competition judge. As "Judge in Chief," Art is committed to high ethical standards, comprehensive evaluation criteria and absolute fairness. |

Jean Kistler is the
Judge and Chief Auditor Jean Kistler hails from Minnesota and has years
of experience in the field of Elvis-related entertainment. Jean has been a
serious Elvis fan all her life and has seen Elvis Presley live in concert twice.
While accompanying and assisting her husband Art, Jean has attended numerous
international competitions, observed hundreds of performers, and knows what
goes into their efforts. She knows the look, the lyrics, the moves and the
sound that make for an Elvis-worthy performance. |

Sharon Kalmen - Judge. Sharon
has been an avid Elvis fan for 40 years. Memphis is like her second
home and she has had the priviledge of meeting most of Elvis' band
members, backup singers, family members, and members of the "Memphis
Mafia." She has studied Elvis carefully over the years and knows
most all of his stage antics and is familiar with just about all the
songs he has recorded whether #1 hits or rather obscure titles. Sharon
seen a lot of ETAs and is looking forward to judging at the Contest
of Kings.

Ellen Hilterbrick - Judge. Ellen is
President of Mahwey Productions which produces "Cruising
with the King" tribute cruises for Elvis fans in association
with Royal Caribbean International. Ellen looks forward to being at
Contest of Kings and welcoming the winner onboard a future cruise.

Goldie Winn - Judge. Goldie joins
our judging staff this year as another representative of Cruising
with the King. Goldie has extensive professional stage and vocal
experience as a singer and entertainer. Goldie is executive producer
and entertainment coordinator for Mahwey Productions. Please give
Goldie a big “Minnesota Welcome”. |

Carol Marcio - This will be Carol's third year running sound for
the Contest of the Kings. She runs the sound and lights in her
family's show called The Elvis Experience. Her favorite thing about
their show is that they do it as a family. Steve and Tommy perform,
Carol runs sound and lights, and Tyler and Cassie deal with spotlight
and promotions. In the last 2 years she has been able to travel
with her family to Memphis, Branson, Nashville, and a Caribbean
cruise all thanks to the Elvis Experience. She has been married
to Steve for 22 years.

Brenda Schwarz, Media Specialist, produces all our media including our on-screen graphics, website and this souvenir program. Brenda lives in Oak Grove with her husband Scott and four children, Amber, Chelsea, Michele, and Nicholas. My name is Spencer Anderson.
I am 11 years old and live in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. My dad is an
ETA and so I decided to try it out too and started performing when
I was five years old. I've sung with the DC Drifters and The Stamps
Quartet. When I'm not performing as "Little Elvis" I like
to play ice hockey and soccer. Like Elvis, I have studied Kenpo
Karate for five years and have earned a Green Belt. Believe it or
not, one of my most favorite pastimes is the ancient Japanese art

Nick Gutierrez is 13 years old and has been
performing his tribute to Elvis for 4 years. He has performed across the
country from New York to the Mall of America and everywhere in between. His
biggest honor came in February of 2007 when he performed for former president
Jimmy Carter in his home town of Plains Georgia. In true Elvis fashion, Nick
performs at numerous venues for community service both here in the Chicago
area and in his second home of Memphis, TN. Nick is currently being represented
by Pink Caddy Entertainment out of Los Angeles, CA and Nick's only concern
is that he makes Elvis proud!!! |

Tommy Marcio is a 2nd generation Elvis Impersonator in his dad’s show called “The Elvis Experience”. He is 14 yrs. old and goes to St. Francis High School. When Tommy takes the stage he is a crowd favorite, and you would think he has been performing for years. He has performed as a special guest at the Contest of the Kings at the Mall of America and the Owens Theater in Branson, MO. He has been invited to perform as a special guest at the Elvis Explosion in LaCrosse in 2008. He recently performed with his dad on a Royal Caribbean cruise, and has been invited back to perform again on a cruise in November of 2008.
