Founded in 1992, the Anoka County Arts Alliance (ACAA) is a nonprofit consortium of performing, visual, and literary artists, arts groups and organizations, and arts-related businesses. Its purpose is to identify, provide support for, and promote the activities of the Anoka County arts community. ACAA membership includes both individual artists, entertainers & performers, as well as amateur and professional arts organizations within Anoka County and adjacent areas.

Included in its membership are performing arts groups such as Lake Wobegon Brass Band, Northeast Orchestra, North Suburban Concert Band and Monroe Crossing; choral music of Lake Country Chorus Sweet Adeline’s International and Land of Lakes Choirboys. entertainers such as Todd Anderson, Mary Hall, and Betty Rydell; music schools such as Honor Note Studio of Music, Musikgarten of Anoka; Cheek to Cheek Ballroom Dance Studio, and Dancin’ Feet; theatre companies including Anoka Children’s Theater, Cross Community Players, Lyric Arts Main Street Stage, Masquers Theatre Company, Playhouse 15, and the Seasons Dinner Theatre.

Art centers and presenters include Anoka Community Concert Association, Anoka County Historical Society, Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, Blaine Arts Council, Coon Rapids Arts Commission, Coon Rapids Senior Services, Elk River Area Arts Alliance, Sandhill Center for the Arts, and Windego Park Society.

Among the arts organizations are Artists del Norte, Bridgeview Art, Lake Country Pastel Society, Metro Wood Carvers Chapter of the Minnesota Wood Carver’s Association, North Artists’ Studio Crawl, and North Metro Photo Club; and many individual two and three-dimensional artists.
